Three Lesser Whitethroats were heard this morning from near Spencers Sheds. Common Whitethroats were even more apparent than before. A Garden Warbler singing unusually from a little bare tree was another year-first as was a Sedge Warbler which Jill saw and I just managed to hear.
Two Common Sandpipers were by the Ystwyth, some little way upstream of the coast and we noticed 10 Whimbrel flying north over Tanybwlch.
Like just about everyone now we are concentrating hard on a local patch. Walking from home near the harbour mouth to Spencers and along part of the lower path and then cutting down to the old railway path and along that for a little way and then back, gave us 40 species today. We are doubly fortunate in that from home we have harbour and sea views.
Stay safe everyone.
