For the second year running we had a brief visit from a male Pied
Flycatcher on Wednesday 7th . Each year they checked out our nest boxes on the
wild cherry trees in the garden. Last years hung around for a day or two singing
on the wires and trying to attract a mate but this year it was a 15 minutes to
check the boxes, which were already occupied by tits, and then gone. Lucky I was
working from home to see it.
As we live on the ridge top road from Aber to Devils Bridge with limited
trees I like to think they were both optimists!
