On a Sunday visit to nearby woodland Silke looked over the hedge and spotted a flock of about 30 Mistles. Many were well marked juvs like this one but we couldn't do an exact count as they took off for the nearest large tree.
We are used to seeing these post breeding flocks up on the Cambrians but this was a bit of a surprise for us; the birds of course can spot a nice worm filled field from afar!
