Free online training

We hope you can join us for our FREE online identification course, Coastal Birds: ways to identify birds on the move in west Wales, led by Dan Rouse.

Dan Rouse will be sharing her knowledge on how to use behaviour, flight patterns and notable features to aid in identification while looking out to sea, or on the coast in Wales. Dan will focus on the identification of seabirds, gulls, waders and coastal passerines.

Dan Rouse is a passionate presenter, wildlife conservationist and ornithologist from Swansea, Wales. Having grown up on the South Wales coastline, her life passion for coastal birds and wildlife thrived, and has shaped her life. Since these childhood years, Dan has gone on to be wildly respected in the birding and Welsh community as an advocate for ornithological surveys and conserving wildlife.

This is WWBIC's second FREE online identification course. The course will be delivered using Zoom, a popular video conferencing application similar to skype, it is free and easy to use. You will be able to view and ask questions on the presentation from the safety and comfort of your own home. The course will be one hour with extra time for Q&A.
