Some years ago a yaffler visited our garden on the eastern flank of Cors Caron and one (maybe the same) was seen and heard regularly around the Blaencaron and neighbouring valleys so it was a nice surprise to have a reprise yesterday at 4pm.
For a biggish and noisy bird it is often elusive but given the number of sightings over the years from Strata Florida to Cwm Berwyn during the breeding season there is surely a pair or two present?
