An early visit to Llanrhystud where I found an Oystercatcher on the flooded field. On the sea were 82 Canada Geese, three Teal and a Shag. Dozens of alba wagtails around and four more Teal flew over. Just a Sanderling on the beach.
John Woodruff came along and joined me in staring at the flooded field until I decided to leave. Halfway along the track my phone rang - --John had just had a Ruff fly in, so a a quick U-turn and no sooner had I got back when another Ruff and a Snipe turned up.
My first Ceredigion Ruff for quite some time. ................thanks John.
