Borth Cliffs

A couple of hours spent cetacean watching at Borth Memorial this morning produced a few harbour porpoise sightings and some interesting birds. A small group of common scoter were floating offshore; a sabine's gull flew about for a bit before heading off north; a heron looked very strange flying along about 100 metres out at sea; a lone guillemot and a lone manx shearwater were summer stragglers but quite a few diving gannets meant there were fish around. At the memorial itself, a pair of chough were happily feeding on a tourist-free footpat Dave Thomas
