Amongst the seemingly endless congregations of small waders (dunlin, ringed
plover, sanderling, poss curlew sandpiper and knot) around North Point at
Ynyslas yesterday morning was a small group of turnstones feeding on the foreshore
tideline. Three of the birds were colour banded - red 'flag' on upper left leg
and yellow ring on lower left leg. Optics weren't up to reading any more detail.
I've started a search for info with BTO/Euring and will post here when anything
is known.
