Excellent days birding at Ynys-hir. The two green sandpipers at the visitor centre are still performing well and teal, wigeon and pintail numbers are building up rapidly. The marsh harrier is still about and two great egrets on the Merionnydd saltings were having a fight! Our red-breasted goose has arrived again for another winter, presumably with the Cumbrian barnacle geese which it seems to like so much. Not quite in Ceredigion, but I heard my first redwing of the autumn this morning at Derwenlas.
