Ynyslas and Glandyfi

I had intended to check the waders at the point this morning , but there was so much of interest between the tern posts and the Leri salt marsh that I stayed there. ( It was sheltered from the wind as well).
Wader counts:  Ringed Plover 245,  Dunlin 55,   Sanderling 8.  Curlew Sandpiper 3,   Knot 3,   Whimbrel 2,   Turnstone 1,   Little Stint 1.
Also noted were a Med Gull, 5 Mute Swans, up to 12 Sandwich Terns, a Razorbill at the Leri mouth and three early Pintail up the estuary.
A light passage of Swallows involved at least 50 birds.

Not a lot to be seen from the Glandyfi layby except for eight Barnacle Geese and two more Pintail.  Swallows continued to move down the estuary.
