Ynyslas seawatch

Another good morning seawatch from the brickhouse again today. High numbers of Kittiwakes and Gannets again; only 1 Arctic Skua today but a juv. Long-tailed Skua went south. About 18 Red-throated Divers, all in summer plumage, including 3 close in giving lovely views. Only small numbers of Manxies but numerous parties of Common Scotor, and a very smart drake Velvet Scotor which flew in and landed in front of us, flying off south towards Borth after about half an hour.

Juv. Great Northern Diver on the sea, presumably the same bird as yesterday. 3 Arctic Terns went south, and about 15 Sandwich Terns. Numerous parties of Wigeon, totalling 100+,  9 Teal, and 2 Greylag geese which appeared from far out to sea and flew inland over our heads.
