I did an inland circuit yesterday (13th). On leaving the house a female sparrowhawk passed half heartedly chasing some linnets. At Banc y Penrhyn near lower Maenygroes a female merlin appeared chased by a couple of corvids. There was another sparrowhawk on Panteg lane near the upper part of Maenygroes. Returning home a single snipe rose ahead of me on Banc y Penrhy
