Helen was at Castle Point when I arrrived this morning. but we didn't last long there before seeking shelter from the wind. On our way to the Old College we noted two Purple Sandpipers on the wall. We had a good look round St Michaels and the Old College, during which I had a brief view of a Black Redstart and were heading back to the prom when Helen found the Black Red on the castle. We then both enjoyed good views as the bird, a rather drab f/imm, flitted atound the putting green wall.
Only a short time spent seawatching, but there were still a few Gannets passing; I counted seven, and Helen picked up a passing Goosander.
