Squally conditions so birding limited to between the downpours. Sundays a good day to visit as no disturbance from workmen on Dyfi bridge or the railway culverts below the lay-bye. Highlights were a ring tailed harrier, a peregrine, 3 goldeneye and 4 goosander. 120 wigeon and 40 teal were the highest number I've seen there this winter.
