Re; Patch

Allow me to clear up an issue which Kev's post has raised.
Patch is the name of an area on the Ceredigion bank of the Teifi Estuary, downriver of Cardigan and near to Gwbert.  This is the area from which John Ramm sends his sightings.
Kev has taken it to mean the more usual birders' definition of patch: an area local to us which we visit regularly.
The confusion arose from the fact that John's patch is called Patch (or The Patch).

As I've said before, I'm happy to answer any queries readers may have regarding the location of birding sites mentioned on the blog.  Some of the places mentioned are pretty obscure but a good place to start is the Gazetteer of Ceredigion place names  at the back of the 2018 Ceredigion Bird Report, and previous reports.
