Chris Bird has just rung me to say he has found a Black-throated Diver on Llyn Eiddwen. The bird is very elusive, just showing briefly before diving again. Just as I was writing this Chris called again to say it has now surfaced and is showing nicely.
This is the scarcest of the divers in Ceredigion, even on the sea, and only the third inland record in the county after birds on Nant y Moch and a previous Llyn Eiddwen record, also found by Chris.
