Cwm Mabws

This morning I was watching bedraggled mistle thrushes scouring our sodden fields for worms and slugs when much closer, I spotted a pair of yellowhammers foraging on a patch of bare earth. Brilliant yellow plumage especially on the male

.We also have snipe in the flushes overlooking Cwm Mabws and watched a heron fishing far out at low tide on Llanrystud beach.

One benefit of the recent showery weather has been the magnificent rainbows.
