On the 29th I flushed 3 snipe at Banc Y Penrhyn. On yesterday’s circuit (30th) there was a dipper on the Afon Llethi near Llanina bridge. On the coast path near Bird’s Rock there was a group of 6 chough. Just after they took flight a peregrine and raven appeared giving another performance of aerial jousting. At the end of each feigned stoop the raven would invert to face the peregrine claw to claw. I’ve witnessed this behaviour many times and the ravens never seem to be distressed and I’ve yet to see any contact between birds.
