Ynyslas

On a late pm walk at Ynyslas yesterday, it was good to see over 200 golden plover running about on the beach as the tide rose. Also there were a few oystercatcher and dunlin. In the estuary, little egret, curlew and wigeon were all just visible in the fading light. On the water at the mouth of the estuary was a solitary black duck. May have been a scoter or even diver. Bright white underparts and chest appeared when it flapped its wings, but the poor light meant good id wasn't possible.
