Llanrhystud beach

The highlights of a short walk to the beach this morning were a shelduck offshore (in the middle of a large group of gulls), and a peregrine perched on a fence post.  The usual turnstones were also around  -  I’m regularly seeing a group of 15 or so at the moment.

Aline Denton

For anyone who doesn't keep up with the news, Aline made the national news here and in Ireland recently when she found a football on Llanrhystud beach.  The ball belongs to a little girl who dropped it in the sea near Waterford, Eire, and thought she had lost it for ever.
