DYFI SIGHTINGS

THe first bird of the day was a ring-tail Hen Harrier at Ynyslas. I had a good, prolonged view of it hunting low over the Ynys Tachwedd fields and thought it may well have been an adult female. Then a walk to Glandwr produced a couple of singing Cetti's Warblers. Next a Green Sandpiper at the Clettwr, just downstram of the ford. Finally at Glandyfi there was a pair of Goldeneyes, close to the shore at Domen Las and a Great White Egret which flew over the river to the saltings on the far side. Back home there were two drake Goosanders and a female in the harbour at Aberystwyth just below my window.
