My first visit of the year to Ynyslas this morning, to try to give my year list a boost. It was difficult to see anything at first, through the mist and drizzle, but I managed to pick out the following before the incoming tide flushed everything off. Ca370 Golden Plover, 110 Wigeon, 14 Knot, seven Shelduck, five Ringed Plover, three Turnstones, three Curlews and three Redshank.. Simon's five pale-bellied Brents were near the tern posts and the five Red-breasted Mergansers nearby.
Later a walk along Tanybwlch Bay produced two Choughs.
