Aberystwyth

Five Purple Sandpipers still around, this morning by the wooden jetty.  Then to Castle Point for my usual Sat morning seawatch..  At least eight Bottle-nosed Dolphins were entertaining people on the prom (the people, not the dolphins).

Birdwise, first were five Whimbrel heading north, as were at least 20 Swallows ansd a couple of Sand Martins. Also moving north were two Shelducks, a  Red-throated Diver, a Fulmar, a Sandwich Tern, four Lesser Black-backed and a Common Gull and a few auks.  More unusual was a southbound high-flying Grey Heron, well offshore.

A quick look at the river behind  Morrisons revealed a Dipper.
