Attached are two nocturnal recordings made by Marc Hughes at Tregaron Bog. One is of a Spotted Crake on the 2nd (confirmed by those in the know) and the other is of migrating Common Scoters on the 3rd, of which there were several hundred. To say this is a bit of a surprise is an understatement given there have only been two previous records of Common Scoter on the Bog, in 1970 & 2005. He also recorded two Oystercatchers on the 2nd, which as far as I’m aware is only the second record for the reserve. NB – recording best listened to with headphones.
