I had brilliant views of the Nighjars at Cors Fochno last night (30th). On arrival at the Carpark at 9:15pm and while walking anticlockwise around the boardwalk there were short snippets of churring. But the real activity started about 9:45pm, where the view opens out, here the churring became more intense and several birds both male and female gave fantastic close views, a pair even flying right over our heads. As well as churring there was a lot of wing clapping and the frog like calling. I only stayed 20 minutes, the views of the birds were so good and the midges were so bad!
