A very enjoyable walk on Wednesday produced a close encounter with a suprised Peregrine about 20' away on the cliffs near Morfa Mawr. Spent 10 mins watching a Fulmar trying to land by its mate on the cliffs but without success after about 15 attempts. It looks like there are about 3 pairs nesting there. It was the show of flowers that really made the day with a prelonged good year for violets & Primroses. Bluebells almost at their peak with lots of White Campion , some Red Campion , Ragged Robin & about 30 Orchids together with the brilliant yellow of the Gorse contrasting with the blue sea. A relatively easy walk much improved underfoot by the council working party. The pic was taken by a friend in Penrhyncoch on Wednesday.
