Grim at first. Hail and sleet falling, but waders present, mainly on the ploughed field; 57 Ringed Plover, 12 Dunlin, 3 Sanderling, 11 Whimbrel and a Snipe. As the rain eased a/the Lesser Whitethroat began singing at the kilns but remained unseen.
