A morning on the reserve, during which I enjoyed the sight of ca15 Swifts feeding low over the saltmarsh near Marian Mawr, along with a few Swallows and the odd House and Sand Martin. A Hare was on the saltings over towards Domen Las and there were four Goosanders on the river.
At Aberystwyth earlier a Common Sandpiper and a 1st summer Med gull were on College rocks.
A visit to Llanrhystud on Thursday produced seven Med Gulls and a feeding raft of 70 plus Manx Shearwaters. Then it was on to Llansantffraed where a thick mizzle descended, forcing me to abandon the outing.
