Ynyslas, Leri, Borth

There was a steady stream of Swallows migrating down the Dyfi when I arrived at Ynyslas, then more along the coast and low over the sea off Borth.

The tide was starting to ebb and from the tern posts I had counts of ca440 Ringed Plovers and ca120 Dunlin, plus a few Curlews, two Whimbrel, two Sanderling and a Turnstone.  At least 200 more small waders on sandbanks up the estuary were too far for i.d.

Between the level crossing and the Leri I picked up three Swifts high over Cors Fochno and a Willow Warbler.  Just three Little Egrets, two Common Sandpipers and four Goosanders on the Leri,

Very little off Borth apart from the usual gulls, just eight Sandwich Terns and a Med Gull.
