Around the Dyfi

 North Ceredigion this morning.

The Dyfi point was quieter than I'd hoped. Saying that Ringed Plover were numerous and well distributed over the whole area. 20 Dunlin flew passed and two Swallows were present. Heard Sandwich Terns a couple of times but no sightings.
The golf course opposite Ynys Tachwedd held Starlings, Linnets, Rock Pipit and Pied Wagtail. All four species were into double figures.
Two Greenshank and a Little Egret were on the Ler i(seen from the footbridge). At the mouth of the Leri were 9 Dunlin, 7 Ringed Plover, 5 Curlew and another 2 Little Egret. Slightly further out were 27 roosting Curlew Sandpiper.
Later at the Glandyfi lay by were 4 House Martin hawking overhead, 2 female Goldeneye, 2 female Red Breasted Merganser, 1 Little Egret and a total surprise a female Common Eider.
Finally at Nanteos lake the Gadwall was still present and 5 female Wigeon.
