Ynys-hir and the brickhouse

Paul Bennett and I visited the Marian Mawr pools this morning and found a Spotted Redshank, seven Black-tailed Godwits, seven Lapwings and a Great White Egret.  Out on the saltings were c230 Barnacle Geese, a few Wigeon and a Peregrine and Paul picked up a couple of Great Crested Grebes on the river.

Like Martin we then had very little from the Glandyfi layby, though 24 distant small waders over by the first bend of the river were tantalisingly out of i.d. range.

Finishing at the brickhouse  a minimum of five Red-throated Divers then 13 Sanderlings on the beach.
