I went up to Ynys-hir this morning to see the two Little Stints reported by
Russell. They were both there viewable from the Marian Mawr hide. At times there
was a single Dunlin and a Pied Wagtail near them which really emphasised how
tiny they are. The Spotted Redshank was also there and also 3 Snipe and 4
Black-tailed Godwits. An Osprey on a mud bank by the river and 24 Barnacle
Geese.
At the carpark there were 4 Green Sands, 1 Great and 11 Little
Egrets.
Just upriver from Glandyfi layby there were 114 Wigeon and 59 Teal grazing
on a weed covered sand bar.
