Today, as I was checking the lakeside walk at Nant yr Arian, I found a couple of chiffchaffs, and then I found a male blackcap in the willow scrub, it seems late for an inland 1,000ft up site. The numbers of goosander have steadily built up to 9 now, all females or juveniles.
