A classic autumn morning at Ynys-hir. Two whooper swans on the saltmarsh as well as three great egrets, eight black-tailed godwits, common and green sandpipers on the reserve and a brambling calling all morning outside the visitor centre. If that was not enough there were hundreds of redwings passing through too. An otter and two hares gave really good views at Domenlas first thing while I counted 58 cormorants leaving the roost.
