A walk along the footpath at Cors Caron yesterday produced good views of a bullfinch, several redwing, a flock of long-tailed tits and a kestrel over the bog. There were also wigeon, teal and a goosander on Maes Llyn.
A small wader
took off from a ditch further along the path and 'jinked' past us - it's white
rump was clearly visible so I concluded it was a Green Sandpiper.
I also
received a report of Slavonian grebe, seen yesterday from New Quay harbour wall
by Andy Wise during a cetacean survey. He also saw 10 Red-Throated divers and a
Great Crested grebe.
