A visit to a grey, bleak and damp Ynyslas this morning produced some interesting sightings. There were around a dozen grey plover all told with a couple of dunlin and a coloured ringed knot. The latter has been reported to Mid-Wales Ringers via Ruffled Feathers. There were a few hundred golden plover flying about overhead with curlew, redshank and little egret along the saltmarsh. Plenty of wigeon about with a few mallard and shelduck. The gulls spp were having a good feed on the carcass of a young grey seal at North Point. All very much of the season.
