Yesterday I had a very pleasant morning at Ynys-hir with Bob, John and Jill. A rare outing together for the four of us. We didn't see a lot, the pick being a male Gadwall, a pair of Tufted Ducks and what looked like a Tufted/Scaup hybrid. Then John and Jill went off to Borth to count scoters and I stayed chatting with Bob.

Aberystwyth and Ynys-hir
A suuny but cool session with Helen at Castle Point this morning. I arrived to find that Helen had just been watching a Great Crested Grebe making it's way south past the point, so close as to have scrambled over some of the rocks. Apart from that there were 11 Ringed Plovers.
