Llanrhystud

A very slow start with scarcely a bird to see until I reached the headland. Regular waders/regular numbers inc leucistic Oystercatcher. Then, 2 Med Gulls, Merlin, 2 Red-throated Divers (one very close) and the 3 Whooper Swans were also present. As I looked back inland to the swans I could see a lot of Lapwings. Driving home I relocated them in a field on the edge of Llanon, beside the coast road, about 700 in total. Another 120 were at Ty Gwyn pools.
