Braved a wild and windswept Ynyslas on the high tide this morning with some success. Plenty of waders about including, very unusually, a small flock of around a dozen black tailed godwit on the Boatyard fields. Also there were around three hundred lapwing. On the edge of the flooded saltmarsh were half a dozen grey plover mixing with around fifty dunlin. Hiding in amongst the usual wigeon were a pair of pintail. The eider and a great crested grebe were further out in the estuary.
