The weather at Ynyslas this morning was fantastic and the birds were not too bad either, they included: A female type Marsh Harrier, a Merlin on its favoured perch, the 1w Eider, 3 Dark-bellied and 4 Pale-bellied Brent Geese, 91 Pintail counted and other smaller groups seen afterwards, a Great Egret, 15 Grey Plover accompanied by 3 Knot, a Greenshank, 4 Snipe and 3 Choughs .All sightings from the mouth of the Leri. Nice to see and chat to Bob Relph who joined me there for a while.
On a separate note I sent the ring details of the 2 Chough I saw at New Quay yesterday to Adrienne who has confirmed that they are two female siblings which fledged last year at a site in South Meirionnydd circa 56km to the north of where I saw them - very interesting.
