Another old boys outing this morning as John, Bob and I joined forces ar Ynyslas. Tide was up and the only bird in sight was the imm male Eider so we went round to the Leri railway bridge. Nothing there either apart from ca50 Lapwings heading towards Ynys Tachwedd fields. Last leg was along the track past the boatysrd where we came across Red Liford, who has been birding Ceredigion for longer than any of us (except for Chris Bird)..Up at the estuary the Merlin was on the same perch where Martin photographed it on 20th Jan and over towards the tern posts were the 15 Grey Plovers and a couple of Knot.
