Where I live, in the Lampeter/Tregaron area, Greenfinches are now a thing of the past, or as good as. However, I get the impression that there are still a few towards the coast. I hear them now and then when I'm at work, in Penrhiwllan. I tried to estimate how many were present this morning in gardens along the main road; perhaps 10, 6+2+2. I spoke to somebody at the Aberbanc end of the village who had a max of 5 this winter in his garden, though not today. Ten may seem a tiny number but I'm not aware of many larger gatherings in Ceredigion.
