Cors Caron

This morning Paul Bennett and I started at Maesllyn where there were three Tufted Ducks, a Coot and a fem Mallard with at least 10 small ducklings.  A couple of Garden Warblers were singing nearby.
Then it was a circuit of the boardwalk (hide still closed).  In a stiff South wind there wasn't a lot around, highlights being a male Whinchat, a couple of Swifts and a  Hobby which Paul watched after I had wandered off

On Tuesday Paul found a pair of Whinchats by the Devil's Bridge road off the A44, with a Tree Pipit nearby.  Then on Wed at Cilcennin  Swifts, Stock Doves and  a male Redstart.  Later, a pair of Spotted Flycatchers where he has has singles in the past.
