Aberystwyth prom

First stop was by College Rocks, where there were 11 Med Gulls and three Sandwich Terns.  Rhiannon came along, followed by John, then John and I moved along to Castle Point, where we shivered for half an hour on a typical July morning in Aberystwyth.   A light passage of Manx Shearwaters and Gannets, plus a few Kittiwakes, were mostly northbound. Highlight was a Peregrine which moved rapidly north just above the waves, and a Grey Seal came along quite close and stayed.

Earlier, Rhiannon had heard a Common Sandpiper in the harbour.
