An early start this morning. A quick check at Aberystwyth to start - Manx Shearwaters streaming north in their thousands - and I was in Borth by 6:30. Again mass feeding frenzies were in evidence, a couple of them practically on the beach. I went to the brickhouse where most of the action was taking place, but made no attempt to count the thousands of manxies, just enjoyed the spectacle.
Among the manxies and enormous numbers of Herring Gulls there were more Gannets than on my last visit, 100 at least. Also noted were 60 plus Med Gulls, at least 30 Sandwich Terns and a couple of Common Gulls.
A couple of shots from the brickhose. I'm having a problem with my camera - it wont let me crop - so I've put these two photos in for atmosphere.
