Managed to get to Llansantffraed yesterday. Both American golden plovers were still present with the c.200 flock of golden plover. Close views from the spit south of the lime kilns {from 11am onwards}. Both birds appeared monochrome compared to the goldens, the supercilia are marginally more distinct and the primary projections are greater. Both birds appeared to have a small amount of yellow feathering on the upper tail coverts, but were otherwise grey. The underwings were not visible. Also here, earlier in the day were one grey plover with a flock of 20 Mediterranean gulls and 15 curlew. A single gannet and some kittiwakes following a small fishing boat out at sea and a single wheatear and c.10 linnets near the car park.
