On Wednesday at Ynyslas it was very nice to see an adult arctic skua actually perched on the ground near the tern posts. Around 60 golden plover were there too but little else of note.
Yesterday (Thursday) at Mwnt between 0730 and 1030 a dark-phase
adult arctic skua, two great skuas, two adult pale-phase pomarine skuas, a first
year little gull and a sandwich tern were the highlights, all heading south. No
shearwaters at all and only around 3000 kittiwakes headed south.
