Aberystwyth and Tanybwlch

Seven Purple Sandpipers flying around Castle Point this morning seemed reluctant to land until they eventually settled on the sea wall in front of the Old College.  Earlier there was just one purp with 28 Turnstones on the rocks by the wooden jetty at the harbour entrance.

Then a walk along the cycle path from Spensers sheds.  Highlight was my best ever view of a Cetti's Warbler as the bird hopped into a branch a few feet away and posed nicely before bursting into song.  Then about a hundred yards further on another one sang at very close range. Otherwise, a few Swallows, the usual warblers and a pair of Goosanders on the river.
