Early start saw a singing lesser whitethroat just above the bungalows at Tanybwlch, less than 100 metres from the beach car park. Nant Y Moch was quietly dead but common sandpipers at llyn Conach along with whinchat, crossbills and tree pipits was nice. Ynyslas had a few more waders with c.140 ringed plovers, 180 dunlin and presumably the same three turnstone and sanderling. Nothing exciting on the sea but very pleasant out of the wind at the brick house watching gannets, manxies, razorbills fly past in between the occasional unforeseen nap (the LW was at 0700 hrs after all).
