At Ynyslas before high tide nice to see six whimbrel and a ruff. At the brick house just the usual manxies kittiwakes etc though very pleasant chatting with Martin C who picked up two summer plumaged great crested grebes on the sea
.As the tide dropped we both met at the tern posts where slowly good numbers of small waders appeared. Three rather nice plumaged turnstone, three sanderling around 100 ringed plover and 250 dunlin were present. Very agreeable, sociable bird watching with hardly any dog walkers was a surprising bonus.
